Third-Party events

Why?

Throwing a third-party event benefits both you AND us! By raising money or collecting donations for City House, you help us change the lives of youth in need, all while creating some goodwill for your organization or company.

 

how we help:

  • Before your event we can provide the following assistance:

    • Consultation on making your event a success

    • Provide and approve use of our logo

    • Put your event on our website calendar

    • Solicit volunteers for your event, depending upon availability and scope

  • During your event, we can help by:

    • Providing City House marketing materials.

    • Attending when available. While we would love to attend every event, our limited staff and resources sometimes may prevent feasibility.

  • After your event, we can work with you to:

    • Schedule a check presentation

    • Coordinate donation drop-offs

Things to Know:

  • We’re here to support you. However, there are some services we won’t be able to provide. This includes:

    • Insurance or liability coverage

    • Mailing list of donors and/or vendors

    • Funding of reimbursement of your expenses

    • Guaranteed attendance of City House staff

  • Once you’ve decided to do an event, reach out to Christi Wilson at cwilson@cityhouse.org to let us know it’s happening! The sooner you let us know, the sooner we can help.

 Frequently asked questions

  • We will provide consultation and support when possible, but our priority is to focus our limited resources on our clients and their needs.

  • Through the continued support of donors like you, we continue to provide a safe place for children and young adults experiencing abuse, neglect, and homelessness. Click HERE to learn more about our programs.

  • Once you have collected your donations, you can mail us one check or deliver the funds in person to:

    Email cwilson@cityhouse.org to schedule a drop-off.

  • Donors should receive an emailed acknowledgment within 30 days after the check has been deposited. To ensure your tax receipt and thank you are received promptly, please provide a valid email address with your donation. Receipts will be addressed to the individual or organization whose name is on the donation.

  • Any organization/group wishing to use the City House name or logo on any materials, including advertising, must receive prior approval from City House. Once we have received your registration form and intended use of the logo, we will review and email you the logo.

  • Yes, we can assist with event promotion through our website events page and by sharing to our Facebook and Instagram stories. However, this is dependent upon the nature of the event. Any additional promotion is up to the event organizers.

  • City House staff and volunteers may provide support and attend events, depending on the size and scope of the event, as well as availability.
