Known as My Friend’s House, our emergency shelter serves youth between the ages of 0 to 17.

3,887 days of care were provided for clients ages 0 -17 in 2023.

What it is.

Our emergency shelter, known as My Friend’s House (MFH), provides 24-hour residential care and services in partnership with Child Protective Services for children removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. RHY (Runaway and Homeless Youth) are also granted support through MFH with an average stay of 21 days, often referred through school districts, the juvenile court system, or word of mouth.

Who it Helps.

  • Youth removed from their home due to abuse or neglect.

  • Large sibling groups removed from their home while CPS works to find a placement for the whole family.

  • Runaway Homeless Youth (RHY) experiencing challenges at home

  • Youth that are at-risk for running away
