We have several fun events throughout the year that you can attend to help raise funds and get the word out about City House!
LET US ENTERTAIN YOU!City House kicks off our third quarter fundraising season with two terrific events!
Normally, this time of year we begin promoting our annual Gala, our biggest fundraising effort of the year and one that raises much needed funds for our shelter and Transitional Living Program and operations. However, this year is a bit different. We are faced with an increasing demand for youth outreach and individual and family counseling services and this has necessitated that we add a mid-summer event to grow and sustain these programs. So, in addition to our annual gala on September 9th, we are excited to announce that Tony KIshman is coming to Eisemann Center in Richardson on July 8th, to do a benefit concert for City House. We are equally excited to announce that Ortho Texas has generously chosen City House to be their designated charity this year, and they will be the presenting sponsor
Tony Kishman is a veteran of the Broadway hit, Beatlemania, he has toured worldwide with productions of Twist and Shout, Classical Mystery Tour, All You Need Is Love, Legends in Concert, and now brings what is hands-down the best performance yet, with his Live and Let Die: A tribute to Paul McCartney concert.
CITY HOUSE 2017 GALAThe Rat Pack is Back!
The 2017 City House Gala will transport guests back to the early 60's and the exciting atmosphere of the Rat Pack era with music, comedy, and the camaraderie of three legendary friends that made history on the stage of the Las Vegas Sands Hotel, Copa showroom.
This classy formal attired evening will include complimentary valet-parking, "Welcome CopaCocktail", an open bar, full Vegas-style Casino, passed hors d'oeuvres, amazing silent auction, and a seated chef's dinner with wine pairing. When the unrivaled City House Live Auction ends, it will be followed by America's three most sought-after Rat Pack Impersonators performing in the industry today, including a special appearance by Susan Griffith (Pulp Fiction and Marilyn and Me), the top Marilyn Monroe impersonator in the world.
If that’s not enough, this incredible show will be backed by Texas-native band leader and trumpet player extraordinaire Rodney Booth and his 11-piece Big Band. Rodney has performed with many major recording artists such as Lou Rawls, Nancy Wilson, Wayne Newton, Michael Feinstein, Dionne Warwick, Ella Fitzgerald, Marvin Hamlisch, Ray Charles and Natalie Cole to name a few. He has recorded professionally with popular artist Al Green and country star Janie Fricke. And when the "Pack" retires from the stage, Rodney's band will light up the dance floor making this one of the most memorable nights of your life.
So, whether you’re of the era and still young-at-heart, or young with a big heart and love nostalgia, join us for a wonderful night of fundraising for our City House mission to: Protect Youth, Empower Change, and Transform Lives.
