$21,000 of $25,000 Goal Raised on North Texas Giving Day! Thank you to everyone who had a hand in making this happen!

This year, 33% of all homeless people in Collin County are children, an increase of 10% from 2017.* We kid you not!

For 30 years, City House has been sheltering abused, neglected, and homeless children, youth, and young adults in North Texas. We need your help more than ever to support at-risk young people who have been forced to make the streets their home.

Your donation will help provide medical supplies and services for children (newborn to 17 years) staying in our emergency shelter (My Friend’s House), young adults 18-21 in our three Transitional Living homes, and for our Youth Resource Center and at-risk Street Outreach program.

With fall and winter on the horizon, we are also badly in need of funding for single-night hotel stays and hot meals for homeless youth or young adults who need immediate safe shelter.

Every donation helps someone who really needs it. To donate and help us close our gap, please click on Donate Now!

Busting at the seams! City House is moving!

Thank you, Community of Caring Hearts

...for producing top-notch Tennis and Golf Tournaments this spring to benefit City House. OrthoTexas, and all the Caring Hearts sponsors, helped raise $70,000 for our mission at these awesome events. The tennis tournament, held at Lakes Tennis Academy, and the golf tournament at The Tribute, were two of the most flawlessly run events we have ever been a part of.

The Tribute Golf Tournament on May 18th was equally successful. Players had a great time playing the incredibly beautiful course. It was a wonderful turnout, and a great opportunity to introduce new people to the City House mission. Steve Kemp, Caring Hearts Board President, and board members all played an integral role in every aspect of the events. Please read more about their terrific organization and what they have done to help local charities and their initiatives.

'A blessing from God': Streetside Showers brings a splash of hope to Collin County's homeless

Thank you to everyone who donated to CityHouse on North Texas Giving Day!

September 14, 2017 was North Texas Giving Day. We set a goal of $20,000 to fund our youth resource center for the winter months when we have an increase of homeless and at-risk youth in crisis. Unfortunately, we fell short of our goal by about $4,500. If you can help us close that gap, please click “Donate Now” above. Every little bit helps. Thank you!

We've Been Helping Homeless Teens for Nearly 30 Years!

City House was founded by two Plano ISD school teachers, sadly inspired and driven by one teenager sleeping in his pickup truck, another living in a vacant building, and another bringing her clothes to school in a garbage bag. In 1988, City House opened its doors to its first residents. What began as a six-bed shelter has grown into a four-home, 48-beds, multi-faceted agency that provides residential and non-residential services to more than 500 children, young adults and their families each year.

Our Mission

The mission of City House is to provide emergency shelter and transitional residential services to children and young adults who are in need due to abuse, neglect or homelessness.
